The other two yards will accommodate another 100 cars each and the Industrial Park will hold 40 cars. The car barn/engine house has room for 50 pieces of rolling stock. Future plans include two more yards with one being located in the woods near the lake. The railroad features many long straight tracks, sidings, refreshing winding tracks through wooded areas. Bi-directional running provides plenty of meets and passes. The many switches can provide variations on running options. FRS radios and working block signals now control all movements over the mainline. If you like the challenges of switching and have small engine, the Industrial Plant will keep you busy. We now have more than 115 switches providing a lot of operation, a lot of shade- covered tracks and a tunnel. The pavilion is complete with ice machine, surround sound stereo system, VCR and DVD players and TV. Located adjacent to the pavilion is a beautifully paved picnic area with a lot of picnic tables and a bonfire pit. There is plenty of parking for campers and shady areas if you have a tent. RV/camper electricity is limited to lights and fans. We also have a bathroom complete with toilet, shower and hot water. Due to the grades, you must be able to control your train on them. Lights on the engine and last car are needed for night running. Bring your FRS radios. Check the schedule for the Card Order sessions and other meets. The Industrial Plant can be used anytime if you want to try your hand at switching. It has three yard tracks, with industries that have both facing and trailing point switches, which creates a variety of switching moves while spotting cars. We are now working Thursday's mornings, when it is cool. The new right of way extension has been cleared of major under brush where it traverses through the new wooded area. The tie gang has almost enough ties cut to complete this project. Rail purchase, final grading, and laying of track is planned for the near future. Tunnel extension discussions have been held.
